08:40 AM ET 11.24 | Hearing from Brendan Shanahan isn't the way one wants to begin a holiday, but that's where Andre Deveaux likely finds himself. [Deveaux] said his elbow to the head of Florida Panthers forward Tomas Fleischmann Wednesday night was "completely unintentional," but it's difficult to imagine Deveaux will escape a suspension from the league, despite his remorse. [Deveaux] lined up Fleischmann for a body check just outside the Panthers blue line with just over nine minutes to play in the second period. When the Panthers forward tried to elude the hit, Deveaux threw his left elbow into Fleischmann???s left cheek and chin, sending him crumbling to the ice. ... "I definitely got him, but it was completely unintentional," Deveaux said.

He misses playing for the Leafs so badly he's taking it out with his elbows.

Sounds like something Argos would say. Either that or you had a large helping of Burkie koolaid this morning.

I know he didn't mean to elbow him in the head, he just wanted to get a piece of him and Fleischman moved. Bottom line though is he caught him with the elbow across the face. Gotta make him sit for a while.

Unintentional ???? Uh -huh ....and i guess he owes you an apology for attacking your elbow with his face

Shanny will tell him his 4 game suspension is 'unintentional' too.

Seriously. He didn't mean to rearrange Fleishman's face, he was just going for his sholder pad and missed. It could happen to anyone.

He'll be fine. He has the 1-800-Dial-Lucic-Hot Line number to "articulate" a plausible non suspend-able Charaesque explanation.

On second thought...they only come in Black and Gold, so he's phuqued.

Yep. Looked bad, even if it was unintentional.

I don't know bout the rest of you, but some of the growing pains such as : players turning at the last second to draw a penalty AND put themselves in a position to get hurt, are disguating this hockey fan.

Just like players that get a tap and immediately turn to the ref.......LOOK FOR THE PUCK! You are professionals, so all the soft stuff gets ya a bad name like Ahhh Hmmm......... "Les Souers" !!!!
