Fans call out Avs, Sacco calls out Stastny

08:44 AM ET 11.24 | Fans in Denver, the same town where a movement helped usher in the Tim Tebow era, haven't been getting much from their NHL franchise. In losing 3-0 to the Vancouver Canucks, the Avs fell to 3-8-0 at home. More aggravating than that to the fans, it seems, is the lack of passion and fight from their team these days. It is all adding up to a "something needs to change around here" feeling around the team right now. ... The Avs got another poor performance from Paul Stastny, who blanked on the score sheet for the second straight game. Stastny, making $6.6 million, has six goals and 13 points on the season. "He's not producing," Sacco said. "Our top guys aren't giving us production, and they know they need to be better."

Thanks DL. Always sad when a once proud organization falls into ruin.

Same as last year. Fast start followed by a season-long collapse. And we all know who'll pay for it...

They have got to stop reacting with a knee jerk and start thinking long term. Maybe start with replacing the management.

I watched the game. The Avs looked like pylons.

He certainly has the slow-motion part down pat.

I was hoping that at least two existed. What are your thoughts on what it would take to pry Stastny out of COL?

Can't say I blame you. He's sure playing Gomezian these days.......

Still I'd enjoy him in T.O if we needed the help at center, but we need our #1 goalie back 1st!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING YALL!! ;)

They should trade him along with Jones to the Oil for Hemsky and Gagner. Hemsky is a reliable scorer but injury-prone, Stastny is healthier, overpaid but can still produce when surrounded by talented players.
