08:02 AM ET 11.26 | After hurting the team with a penalty and ejection on Thanksgiving, Ndamukong Suh now says he has learned his lesson. "My reaction on Thursday was unacceptable," the star defensive tackle said in a statement on his Facebook page Friday night. "I made a mistake, and have learned from it. I hope to direct the focus back to the task at hand - by winning." The statement appeared on Suh's page around the same time he was publically chastised by the Lions, one night after being ejected Thursday in a loss to Green Bay for stomping at an opposing player. "The on-field conduct exhibited by Ndamukong Suh that led to his ejection from yesterday's game was unacceptable and failed to meet the high level of sportsmanship we expect from our players," the team said. "Ndamukong has made many positive contributions to the Lions on and off the field. We expect his behavior going forward to consistently reflect that high standard of professionalism."

"I made a mistake, and I have learned from it."

Isn't that what everybody says when they get caught doing something stupid?

He should be suspensed an additional two games for changing his position so quickly.

NE local reports starting to come out that players at NEBR respected him but did not like him....Maybe there is a dark side to Mr Suh....

Damage control. Knew this was coming from Suh. He's reflected on his behavior and emerged as a new man.

Now we need to feel sorry him...

Hey, maybe he has a personality disorder.

By the way, I think that whole personality disorder and oppositional defiant disorder stuff is a bunch of bunk. Some people are just jerks.

Actions speak louder than words...He just needs to stop and people will forget after a couple of years...Sad part is no matter what he does now he will be considered a dirty player...damage done.

Disorder? Maybe. But I just think he's a man who can't control himself on the field. Jerk? Oh yeah, he's got that one covered.

He's a dirty player.

Look at the size of this guy's neck and HEAD!!! Maybe he does have a disorder.

"I just cheated with that woman because I was feeling lonely. I'm sorry honey."

But ya cheated. Can't get outta that one with words.

Funny thing for Suh, the internet will never forgive you. That video is viral!! Generations from now, it'll still be on someone's cell phone as a you tube fav.

Related to Wilfork's [large] family tree?

I blame Roger Goodell. Obviously when he explained the rules in their previous meeting he forgot to mention stomping on guys that are not the QB when they are laying down is not OK.

No, I always blamed it on my older brother.

Sounds like a good one, will be tossed about, maybe some meds.....Ricky Williams has a disorder, bi-polar of something. Odd how now late in his career and trying to score a few more big paychecks the "disorder" is gone. Maybe Ricky's was the disorder to toke?

Suh is a smart guy, he is also NOT in control of his temper. That's not a personality disorder, it's just how some people are. Will be very interested how this all looks 10 years from now.

Damage Control, that is all it is. He is too stupid to do it on his own, this came from the Lions. An apology on facebook doesn't do it. He needs to get on national media and properly apologize, then let his actions on the field show if he has "changed". This is all Smoke and Mirrors.

It seems more likely that Suh's personality is completely dark and he has been able to mask much of it with a talent for speaking softly and eloquently.

I blame society.
