09:47 AM ET 11.27 | The Lakers are curious to see if veteran point guard Baron Davis gets cut by Cleveland. He has two years and $28.7 million left on his contract, though he can be signed for substantially less than that. The Lakers also want a shooter and are monitoring whether forward Rashard Lewis (two years, $43.8 million remaining) gets waived by Washington.

Only if they get waived. The lakers are too far over the cap to try and pick up these two ridiculously overpaid contracts.

Fisher is done, has been for a couple years.Davis isn't good, but he's better than fish.I personally think they should look at someone younger cause davis can't guard any of the good pgs in the westLewis for free- fine- but where is he going to play?LA needs to get YOUNGER

yep. its just throwing money down the toilet for these 2 bums.

QUOTE(#8):

Dude if amnestied Davis is the best point guard on the block!Didn't you see all the lob passes Blake got while Davis was there?Heck because of Davis Griffin won the dunk contest. He is a team player and an elite point guard when healthy, surely you know he is far better than Fisher, who we all know needs to hang up his jersey.Davis on the lakers could be the difference weather or not the lakeshow returns to the finals.

if it was davis from 07 then yes. but the dude has got no D. he's as bad as fisher. he is a slight upgrade at point but its not even worth it.

I agree with YA. Why bring in a guy that won't compete hard the entire season. Possibly playing with Kobe could revive his career but this guy has shown a bad attitude in the past.

EXACTLY! you dont know which baron davis you'll get! the lazy overweight one or the 07 warriors one.

No way Baron Davis please. Lakers should go after Aaron Brooks.
He would be a good addition.
Rashard also is a no-no. Overpaid, we don't need that.
