11:08 AM ET 11.27 | The world of football was in shock today after Wales manager Gary Speed was found hanged at his home in Cheshire. The former Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle and Bolton star, who appeared on BBC's Football Focus show yesterday, was aged 42. Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, which is thought to be suicide. He leaves his wife Louise and two sons.

Wow. Just watched the interview he gave yesterday... It is creepy to see someone acting completely normal just hours before they (supposedly) hang themselves. Genuinely sad.

Damn. From what I remember he was a true professional. I remember watching him at Bolton for a few years. Kind of in shock, really.

RIP Speedo.
