09:08 AM ET 11.28 | Buffalo's Stevie Johnson said he was "just having fun" when he mocked being shot in the thigh after a touchdown catch Sunday. He recognized after a 28-24 loss to Plaxico Burress and the Jets that his celebration hurt the Bills.

I liked it ...you were good until you fell to the ground

November 28, 2011  09:17 AM ET

I thought he would recognize more his drop on the final drive though

November 28, 2011  09:25 AM ET

That's pretty funny, wish I'd seen it.

November 28, 2011  09:28 AM ET

I was watching that game, thanks to the wonders of scheduling what goes on TV around here. The announcers didn't even notice what was going on. After the TD, the "Flag" sign came up on the screen, and they still didn't mention it. They didn't seem to notice that the kickoff was from the Bills 20 instead of the 35. And, when the kicker shanked it, they said "Onside kick!" as if anyone would be stupid enough to do that.

The Bills should have gone into the locker room at halftime up by 7. Instead, this fool and his celebration penalty, combined with a bad kick, resulted in an easy touchdown, even for the questionable skills of Sanchez and Company.

And wasn't it this Johnson who dropped the pass that might have won the game for Buffalo in the last minute? Man, this clown doesn't deserve his own thread. Bring back Jenn Sterger.

He should have imitated Rex being carried off on a stretcher from indigestion. He wouldn't have been penalized then

November 28, 2011  09:37 AM ET

Thought it was funny as hell......then he went and shot himself in the foot with the droppsies

November 28, 2011  10:00 AM ET

He seemed to be totally out of it that last series. Spend less time planning your td celebrations and more time concentrating on your real job. If I was a Bills fan, I would be so pissed.

MOre pissed about the drop or letting Mark Sanchez throw for 4 touchdown passes?

November 28, 2011  10:10 AM ET

As a Giants fan, a guy who likes Burress, I thought this was hugely funny, not to mention creative. What he did that was not too cool if you're going to come up with this stuff is he dropped a sure touchdown late in the game that would have been a game winner.

November 28, 2011  10:24 AM ET

This was the weekend for players to be extra stupid and hurt their team. Congrats to all of you!

November 28, 2011  10:26 AM ET

Dropped a couple.

November 28, 2011  10:32 AM ET

Another child in a man's body--"Look at me, Mom, look at me!".

November 28, 2011  10:48 AM ET

This is the same "genius" who dropped a touchdown pass in overtime last year against the Steelers. He then took to Twitter and essentially blamed God for his dropping of the pass. I assess that we're dealing with an individual who has some issues with personal responsibility. That may be the understatement of the week though.

Agreed. That penalty was a killer. If I'm Buffalo's head coach, I fine the crap out of him.

November 28, 2011  11:12 AM ET

This fool should be more known for dropping passes when the game was on the line. His Plaxico celebration was quite funny and certainly involved much practice. Perhaps he should have been practicing more important things like catching the ball.

I believe the most the coach can fine him is $25K. Since he's making $1.2mil this year, that won't make a bit of difference.

Suspend him for a game then.

Maybe that will get his attention...

November 28, 2011  11:45 AM ET

Plax may have shot himself, but his QB knows that he still can catch the ball when needed. I don't think Johnson's QB feels the same way.

His drops were almost as bad as that weak effort by Bowe on that final pass. He raised his hand to indicate he was open, and then didn't even TRY to catch that pass.

November 28, 2011  12:11 PM ET

Dude is an idiot and needs to be benched!

A game is a bit harsh, especially since Mr. Suh will probably get two games for his shenanigans on Thanksgiving.
