Game moving too quickly for Hanie

08:02 AM ET 11.29 | On a positive note, Caleb Hanie did throw a couple of TDs and finished well on Sunday, but he didn't earn a W. The game clearly was moving quickly for a player who hasn't had the opportunity to adjust to NFL speed. Hanie's three interceptions all were the result of poor decisions. On his first pick, he left the pocket even though he was not under pressure. By the time he got near the sideline he was under pressure, and he should have thrown the ball out of bounds. Instead, he threw as he was hit and was picked off. He repeated the mistake without getting intercepted in the fourth quarter. On his second interception, Hanie responded to pressure by trying to get rid of the ball quickly with a high throw over the middle.

Or maybe his thought process is too slow. What QB loses the game with an intentional grounding call like that?

They tried to get Orton but failed.

They have to ride this pony wherever it takes them.

I have to say....it has been nice seeing only threads about Cowboy Cheerleaders and nothing about Cowboy Players on here in a while!........not to mention much of the bad press as been about our three division rivals.....not that we are doing great or anything beating sub .500 teams, but just that we aren't the butt of every joke like we normally are. No limelight is a good thing.

This will probably lead to the end of a post season run by the Bears... I'd bet any Bears fans that hate Cutler are pining for him now.

Not a lot of quarterbacks do well in their first NFL start. There's not a lot of time left to learn to be a winner, but give the kid a chance. It's starting to look like a 3-team race for the NFC wildcards. There's still a decent chance they could pull it off.

KC, Denver, Seattle, Green Bay, Minnesota. It's not unrealistic to think they could go 4-1 over the rest of the season, even with Hanie.

I found it interesting that Dallas put in a claim for him. Purely a **** move, but Dallas might not even need to worry about the Wild Card anyway. The Bears still have three cupcake games at home and one Tebow on the road, they should be able to take 3 of those. If not, see ya.

Well chalk the Tebow one up as a loss... You know if your an atheist, ummm you may be wrong, how else to explain it.

Kitna is hurt and is out at least the next two weeks.

Maybe more...

That leaves the noted A&M graduate Stephen McGee as the #2 QB.

It was worth a flyer to try and get Orton...
