08:02 AM ET 11.30 | Sorry, Los Angeles. Before you get too far down the road with the idea of the Los Angeles Jaguars, understand that moving the team from Jacksonville isn't as simple as it might seem. Not today, not a year from now and probably not even four or five years down the line. Never mind that outgoing owner Wayne Weaver, who saved new owner Shahid Khan the trouble by firing coach Jack Del Rio on Tuesday before announcing the sale, promised that Khan has no plans to move the team. Never mind that Khan put out a public statement saying he was fully committed to bringing Jacksonville its first Super Bowl victory. Just remember that there's a lease to get out from underneath and it runs through the 2027 season.

For the right price they would be able to get out of the lease.

Hit the road, Jack. And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.

Jacksonville, you just a word of confidence. That means they're bolting.

Those empty seats I saw last Sunday speak volumes about this team's current viability.
As TxHeat said... any price is negotiable.

I don't know. Buying out 15 years of a stadium lease could prove costly for a poor immigrant struggling to make it in America.

It's notoriously hard to get ready of deadbeat tenants under Florida rental law. You'd think the city would jump at the chance to let the Jags go quietly.

Jaguars aren't native to the Los Angeles area. How about the Los Angeles Cougars?

No one cares where the Jags go. They will be a basement dweller for a long time to come.

Why would anyone want to buy this franchise, without having some kind of an alterior motive, like relocation?
