Line forming to join the Heat

08:11 AM ET 12.01 | A phone call or lunch with LeBron James -- or, more likely, the chance to win a title -- has a profound effect on players. "I wanted to know what it's like to win a championship," [Mike Bibby] said during last year's playoff run. ... These are some of the conversations playing out behind the curtain. There's no reason to think the Heat won't come out of this with more again. More names. More talent. More wins. The line is forming on the left. Samuel Dalembert hints he'll sign on for the $5 million exception? Shane Battier, anyone? Caron Butler? The gravitational pull of Planet Heat is enough for veteran role players to leave money, ego, more minutes, better options and certainly a quieter life behind for the circus.

There is still only one ball and Lefake doesn't share it.

Unless they get a good center, they can forget about winning any championships.

Shane Battier would actually make a great addition. A team-first player to help create some cohesion between all of the me-first players.

The rest of the league has to hope Lebron will call the shots as to who they sign. Look who he demanded in Cleveland - Boobie Gibson, Larry Hughes, etc. Being a talented player doesn't always mean you can spot talent in others - look at MJ.

Of course Riley may actually be allowed to run the team. In which case they might sign someone who actually has game, in which case the Heat could actually win it.

Except for the 7 assists per game.

Yep, 12th in assists while virtually never playing PG.

Or at the very least a physical presence
