Reinsdorf will have to LeBron-proof Bulls

08:14 AM ET 12.01 | Derrick Rose, the NBA's MVP, appeared to have lost steam as the Bulls' title hopes sputtered on their way through Miami. Come April, the endgame will be the same: The Bulls will be the best team in the Eastern Conference. They'll be the best defensive team, they'll have the deepest frontcourt, all while boasting the most exciting player in the NBA. Maybe the world. No ifs, ands or buts. One problem: That doesn't earn you a ring. As they are constructed today, the Bulls are elite in many ways. But they are not LeBron-proof, and unless chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is willing to incur a hit with the luxury tax, they will once again fall to the Miami Heat when it matters most.

They need a scorer at 2, and a 4 that actually does what Carlos Boozer is getting paid to do.

QUOTE(#5):

Monta Ellis is available for trade. Could be your next SG. Caron Butler would be nice also!

Ellis is two small for the 2 spot. Plus he plays little defense and cost a ton...

What did you or any fan expect when they signed him...plus they are going to amnesty him...

That will all change when they get @DwightHoward and dump Boozer on another team for cash! Boozer showed up for one game in the playoffs! I remind him of it everyday since then on twitter! I hope you guys do the same! @LatiNillionaire Twitter of course!

Get rid of Boozer and they will be good

I don't know. The Bulls are intriguing...
Honestly, I believe they need a "combo-guard" that can handle the PG responsibilities when Rose wants to shoot it. Simply put, you can't win when your PG shoots the ball 20+ times a game, and I'm not sure that Rose isn't a "2" parading as a "1"...
Who's to say if they brought in a legit scoring "2", that Rose would get him the ball? The gift and the curse, intriguing indeed.

QUOTE(#17):

Yes...I said this last year, when people were ranking the best 2 guards in the league, and I put D rose in the top 3.....some chicago fans went berserk.....in either case, whether he is a 1 or 2 , he is a spectacular talent

Exactly.
CHI fans seem not to notice that Rose has a definite hand in the perceived "failure" of Boozer as well. Rose has game though, no doubt about it.
