Agent blasts Arniel: 'Enough is enough'

08:23 AM ET 12.02 | Derick Brassard was indeed scratched again Thursday night, only a few hours removed from agent Allan Walsh's scathing statement directed at Scott Arniel. The message: "While I have tremendous respect for (general manager) Scott Howson and the rest of Columbus' management team, the situation regarding Derick Brassard has become untenable. The coach has a history of burying players and using them as scapegoats to mask his own lack of success on the ice. Derick has been singled out, almost from the very beginning of the season, to be the fall guy in case things don't go well. The Columbus organization cares about Derick and has been good to him, but at some point, one has to say, enough is enough."

Baba Booey!

This is one of the oddest ramblings from an agent about a coach I've ever heard.

Who's Derick Brassard? What's a "Columbus"? Some type of new mass-transit vehicle?

Columbus is that dude that people gave credit for discovering the "New World", even though others had been there long before him.

How he got his own team 500+ years later, I'll never figure out.

Well, them Norsemen got an NFL team 1000 years after they showed up so I suppose anything is possible. And apparently, they're awful too!

Another idea for the Winter Classic. Jackets vs Vikings?

If enough is enough, start shopping your client.

Fat guys on skates could be very entertaining. You'd need to reinforce the ice though, maybe make it a foot or 2 thick.

How about Bobby "The Golden Jowl" Hull?

December 2, 2011  10:10 AM ET

What a mess...

December 2, 2011  10:58 AM ET

Columbus is that yogurt...right?

December 2, 2011  11:12 AM ET

funny statement....Hey, I mean no disrespect to your franchise or anything you've done, because you're truly wonderful, but the thing is your coach is a piece of ****, your team is going nowhere and I am going to do my absolutely best to get him far the **** away from here as soon as possible.

great photo, he's cheering, while wearing something something that looks like a practice jersey...in an EMPTY arena.

The gate's open. He's just really happy the zamboni's coming on the ice.

That would seem like the logical thing to do.

Poor old Bobby has put on a few pounds but that is probably the least of his problems. Everytime I see him in an interview he seems to be getting worse. Too bad about his mental state now. He was an amazing player and one of the best off the ice as well.
