08:25 AM ET 12.02 | Bobby Ryan, the subject of enough trade speculation lately that he addressed it earlier this week, is apparently off the block. Anaheim Ducks general manager Bob Murray assured Ryan that he will not be traded, according to Sportsnet. ... Murray said the Ducks forward is off the trading block and Ryan no longer wants to be moved from Anaheim. The news comes less than 24 hours after the Ducks fired head coach Randy Carlyle and replaced him with former Washington Capitals bench boss Bruce Boudreau. Ryan was not seeing eye-to-eye with Carlyle, after the coach demoted Ryan to the third line during Monday's practice. Boudreau has been known as a players' coach and could be a good fit with a player with the offensive abilities of Ryan.

Yep, or maybe they would like to see how things played out considering there is a new coach in town.

It's not surprising really. Ag, while valuable, is soft and tarnishes easily.

They should dump him or one of the other big 3 at some point to acquire more scoring depth. If they can get 2 top 6 forwards and a prospect, pick it could help out both teams (what trades are intended to do...). Dubinsky, Wolski, Bourque, Second Rounder should do.

2 top 6 and a pick? Seems steep.

He's young, big, and can score. A struggling Dubinsky, expiring Wolski contract, and a pick or prospect like Bourque is pretty fair

They took the deal off the table because Toronto didn't want to give back Lupul and Gardiner...with Beuchamin as a throw in.

Burkie gave two firsts and a second for Kessel. Doesn't mean other GMs will follow suit.

No worries mate. It was a bit cryptic and I only expected the best of the best, such as yourself, to understand it.
