08:22 AM ET 12.03 | While the new collective bargain agreement is expected to pass overwhelmingly, a potential sideshow could emerge regarding the future of NBPA executive director Billy Hunter. As CBSSports.com reported Wednesday, there is an insurgency being led by a handful of agents who are attempting to have their clients' votes approving the new CBA contingent on Hunter agreeing to return as head of the union only on an interim basis. As far as player involvement, the movement is being led by Celtics stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, multiple sources told CBSSports.com. A small but vocal group of players is trying to have the executive community replaced, as well, two people with knowledge of the situation said.

This guy and his tactics destroyed the NBA season, its fan base, its advertisers which lead to lack of interest in the NBA.

Get rid of him.

I thought Hunter's head was part of the new CBA?? In all seriousness, it could be Hunter's fault or maybe just maybe, don't quote me on this...umm the owners and players are both selfish! The fans and potential damages financially to the team's cities were not even considered during these talks...money, money, money!

Hilarious! Garnett and Pierce who were two guys who helped delay the CBA getting done about a month earlier now want Hunter out. This after Hunter basically negotiated a deal that helps only star players which is want Garnett and Pierce wanted in the first place.

First Kevin Garnett tried to punk the owners during the negotiations. And that back fired and pissed off the owners and made them more hard line. Now Kevin wants Hunters head? By all means Kevin go for it. But do us a favor. Grow up and stop acting like a puck **** ****!
