11:13 AM ET 12.04 | While not necessarily holding a grudge against Fedor Emelianenko himself, Dana White has long had bad blood with his management team, M-1 Global. The UFC has negotiated with M-1 more than once in the past and have never been able to come to terms, largely because of M-1's insistence on co-promotion. Despite the friction that exists between M-1 and the UFC, Emelianenko recently told news.sportbox.ru that he's interested in competing in the UFC.

One proglem, Fedor: why would UFC still be interested? You're past it.

I hope the UFC shuts him out. Dana negotiated hard a few times trying to get a deal done with them, offering him to come into the UFC with a championship fight and they still felt he was holding all the cards.
If they do bring him in I hope they start him as an under-card fighter where he belongs.

Totally agree...he's starting to fade away into obscurity and now he wants a deal to fight in the UFC? Maybe if his management were such DB's in the past he would of got a nice big paycheck a couple of years back. But now no one really cares about him. Throw him into the mid card and make him work his way to the top.

What happened to Mayhem?? He looked absolutely horrible against the Count??? Not how I thought that fight would go...pretty disappointing finale.

Where was that interest 3 years ago? It's too late now...

I think Mayhem got caught up with all the emotion and crashed. I don't think that would happen to Fedor. Why would UFC give him a go?Dana will give him a go, just to prove a point. So many people still want to see him fight. UFC has so many fighters now, which would also make Fedor rise to the challenge. It would be like Magic vs Jordan. No way Fedor will be able to beat the likes of Jon Jones or Machida. But you would like to see it.
