He was behind Donovan McNabb, who no one claimed on waivers. Behind Philip Rivers, who stinks, and Tarvaris Jackson. Well, you get the idea. And here's the thing: Tebow is the NFL's Most Valuable Player. Not officially, of course. ... [Tebow's] more valuable to his team than any other player in the league. Aaron Rodgers is his closest competition. When Tebow took over, the Broncos were 1-4. Now, after Tebow had yet another miracle comeback Sunday to win at Minnesota, they are 7-5. Tebow is in first place.

OK, we get it. Tebow has elevated his entire team to mediocrity. Considering where they started, that's a big improvement. Next, let's see how he does against a team with a winning record that hasn't just replaced its starting quarterback.

Tebow has done nothing but win. He doesn't turn the ball over, he makes throws when he needs to and he knows how to turn broken plays into big gains. But MVP? If there's an MVP on the Broncos, he plays for their defense.
