Cutler: Favre would have come back

08:01 AM ET 12.08 | Brett Favre mercifully put out any fire that he'd return to the NFL. Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo described the idea that [Favre] would have joined the Bears as "fantasy," but Jay Cutler said he believes Favre might have done it for the right price. Cutler shares the same agent -- Bus Cook -- as Favre, and Cutler said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000 on Wednesday that he talked to Cook a couple of days ago. "He didn't really expect Brett to come back," Cutler said. "Brett probably would have came back, but I'm sure it would have to be a very, very high number money-wise, and it would have been interesting. He's a West Coast (offense) guy. That's the reason he went to the places he went."

Martz could go back to his week one offense with the nice deep crossing patterns that take ten minutes to develop, just for Favre. That offensive line would get him killed by the fourth snap.
