Howard disconnect growing in Orlando?

08:08 AM ET 12.08 | Otis Smith couldn't be in a much more difficult position with Dwight Howard. Alas, the disconnect between the Magic and Howard is painfully obvious, along with the anxiety in the atmosphere. They don't have him in hand. Smith and everyone else tried to paint the rosiest picture possible of the Howard saga, which is the Magic way. Perhaps one of two things have happened since they've talked to Howard: 1) The Magic have either gotten bad vibes from Dwight, if not a definite answer or 2) they have gotten good vibes from Dwight but are powerless this season to do anything major to improve his stay, unless Chris Paul demands to be traded here.

You mean he doesn't think he can win a 'chip with "Ready Aim Fire Arenas" or "How Overpaid Am I" Hedo? NO WAY! Duhhhhh....Again, here is another example of poor mgmt. They tried to build a team of names, albeit washed up or B level players (Vince, Arenas, J.Rich, Pietrus) then wonders why there is no team chemistry and their superstar wants to leave

This the part where Danny Ainge hits us with a metaphoric steel chair....and yells I traded Kendrick Perkins to free up room for D12 ...come on Orlando Rondo, Jeff Green's inconsistient play, and Jermaine O'Neal's corpse is tempting right?

QUOTE(#4):

Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel wrote this article. I don't think he has any inside sources or that anyone at the Magic take him serious. Fans refer to him as BS because he is always trying to generate chatter with articles like this. Mike Bianchi of the Sentinel is the same way. The OS is owned by the Chicago Tribune and they don't really care about the Magic. They are just looking for web hits. The two best Magic writers who actually cared about the team were Matt Humphries and Zach McCaan. I heard that Zach is gone this year. Those guys are true blue Magic fans and I think players actually trusted them and would talk to them.

He who follows the footsteps of Shaq is on the path to success. See ya Orlando! The end has come.... hahahha

"Ready Aim Fire Arenas"I don't think Arenas actually aims first. Gatling Gun Gilbert is the correct nomenclature for Mr Arenas.

Sorry sir, i will make sure this is correctly stated going forward! LMAO!!

Gatling Gun Gilbert #priceless

I would like Dwight to stay in Orlando, but I just can't see it.

Say what you will but L.A. has the best to give back in a trade. Orlando would be crazy to leave it up to free agency.

This would be a disaster for the nba fans in Orlando. The nba would lose another generation of fans forever in Orl, right After building a new arena. As a laker fan, there's no way I can sign off on this. Orl fans deserve the same hope for success and for keeping their guy as ny, la or anyone else. This is a predictable, yet sad turn of events.

Same. Orl fans have always been good to the nba, they will be lost forever after this
