Will next Chiefs coach have New England ties?

08:09 AM ET 12.11 | If, as expected, Todd Haley does not survive in Kansas City, Josh McDaniels could end up with the Chiefs three years after many thought he would land there. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli could hire his old buddy from their New England days to be his head coach if he could sell McDaniels to Clark Hunt. Or, Pioli could hire a defensive minded head coach and make McDaniels the coordinator, assuming McDaniels is fired in St. Louis. Aside from the Pioli connection, another reason McDaniels makes sense on the other end of Missouri is he has a strong relationship with Matt Cassel. In fact, the quarterback and his former offensive coordinator still talk frequently.

Did Josh teach Belly-Check how to steal D-signal video tape?

Dear God no!!!!

He was fired in Denver because he can't coach, now he's the Offensive coordinator of the 32nd ranked offense in the league........ Yea sounds about right for KC.

Let the recycling begin.

I know this is a college example, but this sounds like Charlie Weis being hired at Kansas. Florida's offense was awful this year, but they went after him. Is this really truth or more of a rumor?

Just interns trying to stir the Ty-D-Bowl. Bunch of Trolls. Nobody is going to hire McDaniels again. He's not qualified to be a towel boy for a 2A high school team.

May as well keep Haley if you want mediocrity. Note to al professional sports teams: you get no **** green points for recycling the same old names. Grow a set and take on some fresh blood!

In the case of KU anyone they brought in was going to be an upgrade over what they've had since they let Mangino go.

Second that motion

????????????McDaniels has done nothing to warrant getting another HC job. And if he's fired for not doing a good job in St. Louis, why the heck would KC want him in any capacity?

Recycling indeed. Go after coaches like Mike Zimmer. He's been in the trenches for a long time. Give him a break from Cincinnati... he's due.

What's with the question marks?

Judging from both threads this morning it appears maybe everything Hoody and Tuna think, may not actually be gold. Some times it's just a Dolphin strangled in a cheap Wal-Mart sweat shirt.

Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results? I thought that was the definition of Stupid, not insanity.

No, it was insanity, though stupid is a first cousin.

He also said this, and it is certainly applicable.

"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."

That's why they made laws against boinking your cousin. Unless your goal is to become King of England. Then I think it's a requirement.
