08:01 AM ET 12.14 | Bradie James admitted Tuesday that Dallas' season is on the brink, but, according to Jerry Jones, the job status of Jason Garrett is not. Speculate all you want, but [Garrett] isn't going anywhere. Asked Tuesday on his weekly radio show if Garrett's job as head coach is in jeopardy, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones seemed surprised the question was even sent in his direction. "That's not a question, in my mind, that is ... worth responding to," Jones said on on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM). "But the answer's no. We're just getting started here." Garrett is 12-9 as head coach of the Cowboys, who have six losses this season, five of which came after blowing fourth-quarter leads.

It should be! At the very least get an offensive coordinator.

Or bring in a kid that plays a lot of Madden to help him in the 4th quarter

I can damn near guarantee... Garrett isn't going anywhere.

The 4th quarter melt downs are worrisome; he talks of mental toughness but that tune is getting old. He needs more "fire".

He needs to be "fired." Slight difference.

he gets another year. what troubles me the most is that the team is no more mentally tough than it was with Cupcake and that was supposed to be a strong point in making him HC.

He''s Jerrys god-son......I doubt it, besides there contending for the division even tho no-one in the division really worth talking about

he might hire an O-coordinator....

Here's the deal with this circus.....JJ does not like to admit the load of mistakes he makes with decisions on players and coaches. That is why guys are always here longer than they should be. Or playing when they shouldn't be. If they are given a long-term contract (Roy, TNew), they will be forced down our throats instead of being cut or replaced. If they are a high draft pick (Felix, Jenkins), they will be out there come hell or high water. That is the problem...mistakes are made every year and then not corrected because the mistakes are not recognized.

Where are Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves? This team has no heart!

Was that the Vote of Confidence an owner traditionally gives his head coach to give the executioner time to sharpen his axe?

December 14, 2011  09:15 AM ET

No. He is not being fired. Now, ask the man about his DC.

Jerry will take care of that for him... would Norv Turner mind coming back to Happy Valley?

I saw part of an interview J.J. did with ESPN yesterday. He stated Garrett's job was not on the line... he was pretty emphatic about it, and I believe him.

Cowher is available, ****.

Win or lose, does Garrett's expression ever change?

Bingo. We have a winner. Get rid of that fat, bloated, scruffy, foul mouthed, drizzle from Buddy Ryans loins and hire a DC. That was one night Buddy should have rolled over and left it on the sheets.

The man can't coach. Does Dallas ever get a good coach? no.

What are you talking about , they've had three of the best. And, they've won more Super Bowls than every team except Pittsburgh.
