10:05 AM ET 12.14 | Kurt Busch may return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in a quality ride, after all. Sirius XM NASCAR Radio???s Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody has learned that in an effort to retain sponsor Best Buy, Richard Petty Motorsports has proposed replacing AJ Allmendinger as driver of the legendary No. 43 Ford with Busch. ... ???I would mortgage my house to make Kurt a part of this team,??? said RPM COO Robbie Loomis. ???We value what he has done on the racetrack. He has won a [Sprint Cup] championship and worked for a first-class operation like Penske Racing. Guys like that don???t come along every day.???

Kurt Busch or A.J. Allmendinger?

Not a very tough decision to make is it? Unless you don't want any reasonable expectation of winining.

I seem to recall a few naysayers commenting that Kurt would be selling hot dogs next season. Not a Kurt fan but talent is sorely needed in Nascar and he has the talent to win races. He won't sell a lot of tee shirts but he can still attract sponsor dollars and that is needed in Nascar now.

In related news, Richard Petty has contacted the agents of Nanny McPhee, Mr. Belvedere, and Maria Von Trapp to see if any of them have an interest in becoming Kurt's crew chief. No word yet.

Bring back Jackie Stewart to announce the races,,remember him???the flying Scotsman.... LOL

Yeah, cause his 11th place point finish is considerably better the 15th that the 43 finished last year. That's with the 22 wrecking him while a lap down at watkins glen and sending him to the back. AJ still finished 8th, but had a car good enough to win. Busch isn't worth the baggage that he brings, hasn't been able to keep a job yet, even with the talent he has.

I hadn't seen this one coming, I admit. But I see Busch getting some wins. Like him or not 'he can wheel a racecar'. (I think it was Kevin Harvick that said that.)

We have seen both Busch Brothers fall from grace.I hope they take the last chance with heart and turn their lives around.<Still don't like the little schiiiits!>

Get rid of them and what do you have left?
speaking of drivers of interest, because to me the rest of the field is as boring as melba toast.

These current drivers need to go back to the way it used to be, forget Hollywood France they already grew bored of Nascar and you not ever going to compete with football so get over it.

Time to give your real fans what they have been missing for years now.
