08:07 AM ET 12.16 | Chris Paul knows about the Clippers' past, and he's willing to ignore it. [Paul] sat at a table wearing a black suit with a red tie, his eyes bright, a smile on his face, his voice full of hope when he spoke about the future of the Clippers. He mentioned a word that rarely has been uttered around the Clippers franchise -- championship. ... He had joined the team when the Clippers acquired him from New Orleans on Wednesday [for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and an unprotected first-round draft from Minnesota]. "I'm excited to bring a championship here to L.A. in a Clippers uniform," Paul said. "Knowing that they've never won a championship here, I wanted to be a part of something like that."

December 16, 2011  08:27 AM ET

A. He's getting way ahead of himself since he hasn't brought anything to LA other than a lot of reporters

B. He was already a part of a team that never won a championship in NO... but why quibble.

The NBA = the new WWE Entertaining... but not a real sport anymore. Corrupt refs... fixed trades... 4 contenders and 29 floppers to fill up the match card.

We'll be seeing the folding chairs flying any day now.

Either Blake Griffin will get hurt doing something crazy going to the basket
or
Chris Paul's knees will go- meanwhile Gordon will continue to grow and not resign with OKC

That's hilarious! He'll be relocating during the summer of 2013 because the Clippers may have become a team that people want to watch, but they certainly didn't become "contenders" overnight.

Someone's going to get hurt, or the owner is going to screw it up

If that was his plan... why sign on for two years? He would have been free to walk at the end of this year.
