10:49 AM ET 12.17 | Canucks captain Henrik Sedin is confused at some of the below-the-belt shots taken at both he, his brother and his team the past eight months. "It's pretty bad," the personable Vancouver forward said during a phone interview on Friday. "I think it's sad. I thought we were past this. People that don't really cover us or aren't around us as a team, they hear statements made on TV and seem to base their opinions on that," Henrik Sedin said. "People just seem to buy into what they hear. It's just an easy thing for them to do. That's too bad because they don't really know us or our team. Over in Europe, you hear some bad things from the media. But we thought that when we came to the NHL, there would be more integrity."

Actually Henrik...the problem is that everyone knows your team from watching that discusting brand of hockey you and your team displayed in the Stanley Cup Finals last year...The most watched finals ever...so yeah...you and your candy ass antics are well known.

It is no surprise the Canucks are the most disliked team by other players around the league. Kessler's remarks last week about Foligno targeting his head is typical of this whiney and arrogant team. The way they act one would think they had a stack of Stanley Cups.

I actually love the anti-canuck comments. So many teams didn't get as far as the canucks last year so I can see how they are very jealous. Vancouver plays a skill game which is fun to watch. They were caught unaware last year in the play-offs by not having enough toughness, I admit. Why diss them because they rely on skill? I feel all these stupid comments will just motivate them to go even further this year and win it all.

The Sedin twins are great players, and outstanding members of our community - and we're proud to have them on the team. Their finesse, clean style hockey doesn't sit well with some individuals and that's to be expected.
So just turn a blind eye to the noise from the media, and focus on getting back to the finals

I never have understood the hatred shown towards the Sedins out there. So what, they're not big fighters. And sure they flop every once in a while hoping to draw penalties, but come on, more players than not pull that shtick when the opportunity presents itself. The reality of it is that they are highly skilled players and darned good dudes off the ice. In no way are they deserving of the vile rhetoric directed towards them by the talking meatheads and so many NHL fans. Yes I'm a long-time 'nuck fan, but I'll gladly call a spade a spade regardless of them being 'nucks or not, and there's just nothing about the Sedin's worthy of all the hate. Really. It's pretty bizarre.
Unless of course you're the type of grown up dude who, um, likes mugging 12 year old hockey players, then, I guess, hate away, 'cause that's all you know how to do anyway...
