As the Giants hold their last practice today before flying to Tampa to face the Bucs in a wild-card playoff game, there is a possibility that this could be Michael Strahan's last day at work in New Jersey. There is a possibility that a loss on Sunday might cause him to pull a Tiki Barber, to decide that at age 36, his body has had enough and that it's time to move on.

Terrell Davis? The guy didn't voluntarily retire. He body stopped working for him. There is a difference.

The point is that you have the right to retire if you want to. We hear people all the time complain that guys stay too long, or that this guy is only about the money. When a guy stands up and says it's not about the money we crucify him. Make up your mind people, either you want a guy to care about more than money, or you want him to only care about money . . . .which one is it/

Strahan could try acting, he will be a good double for anthony anderson.

I figured he would just hold out again demanding a new contract....

Didn't Strahan pull this same stunt before training camp last summer?

January 4, 2008  10:51 AM ET

This is a story for after the season.

strahan is 36 years old and been in the league forever...he played with LT!!!! no one else on the giants team can say that..Strahan has put in his time if he retires it wouldnt be a shock.. tiki was what 30 i dont know if any of u played football but there comes a time where u just have to walk away or become a wheelchair rider for the rest of ur life..look up earl campbell and alot of the old guys that used to play they are not living that well...RB have the shortest career time of any NFL position..If strahan retires not an issues we have plenty of defenisve ends that can play well...Justin Tuck should be a starter he has proved that...Kiwi isnt going to do well at LB place him back in the Line..We will survive!

If he decides to retire, ultimately it is his decision. he was a great player, and respected by his peers. Why wait and kill his body worse. Quit and enjoy the kids.
