08:09 AM ET 12.22 | While Vinny Del Negro can traffic in optimism, the Lakers took another hit Wednesday. Kobe Bryant sustained a torn ligament in his right wrist, simultaneously clouding his capacity to score and the Lakers' ability to win. Bryant planned to endure the discomfort instead of opting for surgery that would dim his chances of playing an already abbreviated 66-game season. He is officially listed as day-to-day by the team. He did not play in the Clippers' 108-103 exhibition victory Wednesday at Staples Center. Lakers officials were tight-lipped about his availability for the season opener Sunday against Chicago, but a person familiar with the situation said Bryant would give it a shot.

As long as he can sign his divorce papers, no big deal.

jason kapono was a bad signing. he really does very little on the court, even when he's hitting shots.

This is true Jack BUT...this is a shortened season so Id say the start is just as critical as the finish bc there are not the same amount of games to "make up" games

How dumb can you be to get caught by the same chick twice? Man if I'm a judge I'll sentence him to a mental hospital. When all's said and done Kobe will go down with no money. Look at the timing of the divorce. Vanessa waited till he reached his peak earning period to cash in. Talk of a smart woman... Kobe's dumb as hell.... I expect him to request a trade soon...
