Ott blasts Laviolette for hallway run-in

08:21 AM ET 12.22 | Stars forward Steve Ott attributed arrogance to the confrontation between he and Peter Laviolette in Dallas Wednesday night. The Flyers and Stars do not share a tunnel to the locker room -- the Stars use the one at center ice and the Flyers use one in the corner end zone and take a long walk -- but Laviolette decided to use Dallas' entrance instead of walking down the ice after the period. "It's disrespect of our building, obviously," Ott said. "Just let our team off [the bench]. It's not that big of a deal. He obviously thought that he's got higher power than anyone else and the most arrogance of any coach in the NHL. That's the first time I've seen that."

God i was hoping this would be herethis morning.
Ott clearly moved to obstruct Lavvy when there was plenty of room down the hallway for a person to walk. I would have shoved him out of the way as well. This whole thing is a joke.

I think they both acted classless. Their is no excuse for either of their behavior. Sorry.

That was a testy game last night between the Flyers and Stars. They played like they were old divisional rivals.

When it's being questioned whether you have more class than Steve Ott, sorry Petey, you lose by default.

Ott was getting under their skin all game but I never imagine Lavy would confront him after the period. He should know better than to stoop to Ott's level.

i dunno, i can see where people think they were both at fault and part of me wants to agree except that Ott didn't obstruct Chief, the equipment guy or any other staff that preceeded Lavvy down the hall. He let them go by and then got in Lavvy's way. Coach tried to go around him and Ott moved to block him.
If Ott wants to agitate guys on the ice, fine, that's his job i guess. But why mess with a coach like that and then whine to the media about it when it doesn't go your way?

Ott did the right thing. The coach should have gone the right way. The only people who would think other wise are flyer fans and the coach's family.

Here here. The only one that looks like an idiot out of this is Laviolette.

Steve Ott, and the rest of the Stars, clearly got what they was looking for....they will get mentinoed on 24/7 next week for about three seconds. Then everyone can go back to not caring....

Ott is clearly the person I'd go to when it comes to determining disrespect. He is an expert on the subject.

Couldn't tell if he hit him with his shoulder or his back. That was a monster north south hit though. Probably shouldn't have left his feet, but it other than that it looked good from that angle.

Yikes! How do you discipline that hit? He left his feet but did he target Kesler's head with his back?
Just a dumb play by Kronwall. I didn't see it live, did he get a major for it?
