08:14 AM ET 12.27 | Two games does not a season make, but the Mavs have tumbled twice out of the post-lockout gate, on Monday to the tune of 115-93 against the Nuggets. The question isn't what ails the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, but can they fix it in time to make another run at the playoffs in this 66-game season? ... It was the second blowout loss in a row at home for the Mavericks, who fell 105-94 to the Miami Heat on Sunday. In that game, Dallas trailed by as many as 35 points. "We look old, slow and out of shape," Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki said. ... "We probably needed extra weeks of training camp. But we don't have it so the young teams, the athletic teams, look better right now than we do."

QUOTE(#4):

KIG will not like this!

IIm not to thrilled with the results or effort for that matter at all. Watching the game last night they all seemed out of sync and giving half ass effort like it was preseason...I just think they haven't figured out the rotations or system yet with adding all the different parts....

I alluded to this yesterday that it will take the older teams to get running on all cylinders.....I mean there are 64 more games to go so ill wait to see where they we then. Now if they are 0-66 then I think they settled for just one....

But are Laker fans throwing.g in the towel as well.....

QUOTE(#9):

I think Dallas may have celebrated too long and hard and came back out of shape. I'm sure they will find their groove eventually.

It's still a young season and I think they will bounce back and make the playoffs. However I still expect OKC or Clippers to win the West. Those teams are ahead of the pack. In the East it's Knicks, Chicago and Miami...

What's so funny? I don't see anything unreasonable about what he said.

The knicks won't be better than the heat or the bulls....I think is what he was getting at.
