Rams issues go beyond coach and GM

"We never can figure out who's the ultimate authority figure at Rams Park."

Well, if this truly has been the case since the Rams arrived in St. Louis then it's safe to say that it is not and never will be the head coach. Spagnuolo has got to be kicking himself for taking this job, especially in light of what will likely me a massive hiring spree in the NFC East this offseason.

Maybe they can parley this into a move to LA.

Then, they change the gold back to yellow, and it's the 1970's all over again.

And just where was this writer last year at this time when the Rams finish 7-9 with their new franchise QB Bradford and all looking good for the future?
Most likely writing love letters about the " new " Rams regime.

Good article. Need a good owner who sets the chain of accountability (done). Need a head coach with experience (note Hitchcock and Payne for the Blues). Need a GM and hold accountable. Need to spend money wisely (Owner and GM). Bottom line, the culture needs to change at Rams Park.....but Owner with understanding of how to run a sports franchise is a good start.

That's right, Josh McDaniels of course...

Rams could use any help they can get!

After the lockout hosed their offseason programs, coaches who were clearly in rebuilding mode this year should get a one-year pass for underperformance. Especially those who were showing some promise before the NFL meltdown.

I'm not sure if this is an exerpt from a longer story... but I saw no direct quotes nor an author's name. Slow news day... We could talk about Kim Jong ill funeral... Is his kid's name 'Lil Kim?

First, move back to LA, get a good GM (not Smith) and hire Fisher as coach.......

That's where I thought they were going to place the blame. Isn't that the solution for all owners, build me a new stadium and I will deliver you a good team. That's the kind of society we have become, we place more importance on the wrapping than what is on the inside.

What about someone like Harbaugh or Rivera, both came in as rookie Head Coaches, neither knew whom their QB would be at the start of the season. With Rivera you could say that he knew that Carolina had the #1 pick and were going to take Newton, with Harbaugh all he could do is try and convince Alex Smith that it would be better for all those concerned if he were to stay at SF for at least one more season.

As were all the NFL know it alls. I guess the figured that St. Louis had been a bottom feeder for so long and had so many top 10 picks that something good would eventually grow. Bradford despite his injuries was going to be the missing link and St. Louis made him the highest paid rookie ever, how come no media scrutiny of Bradford? . After Seattle showed no interest in signing Hasselbeck I too thought that the NFC West would be the Rams to take and hold onto for a couple of years.

Spags is a good coach, but they need several drafts to rebuild that team. And their QB is not that good....period.
