08:10 AM ET 12.29 | Tony Romo told reporters Wednesday that his bruised throwing hand was improving by the day, which comes as welcome news in advance of Cowboys-Giants. Linebacker Bradie James, a veteran of do-or-die games with the Cowboys, made it plain how much the Cowboys need [Romo] to play Sunday against the Giants. "We gotta have him," James said. "I mean, there's no way. You don't have a chance without him. Everybody knows. Even when he went down this past game, you could hear the air in the stadium go out. So we've got to have him out there." James said he and Romo understand how the season will be judged by the outcome of Sunday's game. "Romo and I were talking about that [Wednesday]," James said.

They just need to shorten it to "they have no chance"

Trade Ware for the number one pick!!! Tahat would be the start of a new Problem!!! Good Luck or Bad Luck that is the question!!!

Talking up how you have no chance without Romo is not smart. Now what happens if he can't play? Do they even bother to show up?

December 29, 2011  08:36 AM ET

can hear U-2's "With or Without You" ... lol

December 29, 2011  08:36 AM ET

Could have just dropped "without Romo" from the headline.

Come on, folks; they're playing the Giants. This game could easily go either way.

December 29, 2011  09:05 AM ET

Both of these teams are on the fast track to nowhere.

You said it. Nothing has been a given for either team this year. The Giants play terribly at home. Thank god they were the visiting team last week against the Jets.

This is true. They both suck. Sadly, the whole division sucks.

That doesn't make much sense..they played at home but were the visitors.

Do the make them use the visitors locker room when they are not the "home" team?

They need a owner who will hire someone to run the team and keep his dumb-**** up in his box.

I know. I was being facetious, but I couldn't think of any better reason why they played as well as they did.

Everyone else seems to know that... with the exception of the owner who thinks he knows it all.

The battle to see who's only "slightly" less mediocre in the NFC East!
