08:13 AM ET 12.31 | Lamar Odom has been placed on the industrial-strength remedial course for improved physical conditioning, following in the footsteps of Peja Stojakovic and a few other players during the Rick Carlisle coaching tenure. It's not really anything special, but it is designed to get Odom back up to game speed, which he and the coach have said is lacking. "There's an action plan in place, and he's working [hard]," Carlisle said. "He came in this [Friday] morning and worked for an hour and a half. He's got a ways to go, but he's a willing worker. He was behind when he got here condition-wise. But we'll get him caught up."

The Mavs time on top of the West is over now, Thunder will lock up the West pretty easily this year i think

Kardashian Cardios aren't enough of a workout? Gotta switch to Sugarfree candy I guess...I think you're right JdsJets. I don't see good things happening for the Mavs post Chandler. For now the Thunder look to be frontrunners in the West, but if the Lakers or Mavs pick up Howard, that team will be a force to reckon with!

Maybe getting rid of Odom was good move after all.

QUOTE(#11):

Howard is there for Lakers to take and they have the biggest advantage right now but if they don't take that chance than they will never get Howard. Magic wants Gasol and Bynum but I guess Jim Buss don't want to give both of them away...

The Lakers would only give both Pau/Bynum if there is an elite PG coming right along as FA. (DWill).
Let's see how Bynum looks like in these first games. If he does very well, maybe there is a chance we can trade him with another piece for Howard not named Gasol. We'll see.
