10:29 AM ET 01.01 | Kyle Drabek, who was seen as the key to the Blue Jays' Roy Halladay trade with the Phillies, is being dangled to the Cubs in talks for Matt Garza. He had a nightmare 2011 but some scouts believe he can regain his value if he stops trying to learn a cutter.

If the Blue Jays thought this guy was any good, they wouldn't trade him for Garza. Looks like another over hyped prospect.

the thing its, if drabek its trying to change the way he was thought about how to pitch, if he its unable to add another weapon to his pitch arsenal, best thing to do its not to mess around!!

the cubs are in full throtle regarding theo epstein approach has being very simple, if the franchise will rebuilt in a year or two, the earlier the better why would epstein should wait untill 2 or 3 years to rebuilt a tough minor system? the time its now not tomorrow if you really want to rebuilt the franchise most make their minor system the strongest minor system!!

it seems as if the blue jays are trying to impress themselves, this franchise has being involved with fielder agent for the longest, could the jays be able to sign fielder this winter? if that's the case they better hurry up or they could lose this power hitter to the rangers in a blink of an eye!!

I dangled my Drabek at our New Year's Eve party last night. Boy, was my wife pissed!

the jays know that this pitcher has talent and the ability to become another roy halladay in the near future, but if the cubs are in rebuiltding mode? the jays would be doing a favor to the cubs by trading drabek to them for garza!!

January 1, 2012  11:48 AM ET

this young pitcher has to stick to his own talent and he shouldn't try to change anything, unless he has the knowledge that indeed he could handle any changins in his pitching arm!!

January 1, 2012  11:52 AM ET

the jays did lose in the bidding for darvish, best thing to do is to move to plan B, the jays are in good position to sign another big pitcher or a power hitter, could it really happen in this new year? if garza its traded to the jays the team becomes better than the orioles!!

The Jays could have had Zac Greinke had they been willing to trade Drabek a year ago.

January 1, 2012  04:30 PM ET

Drabek will never be a good pitcher. Dump him for anything.
