Jones choice for Dallas GM? Jones

08:04 AM ET 01.04 | The first few days of the NFL postseason -- an offseason for some -- has brought much change, though one constant seems assured in Dallas. Another postseason absence will spark conversation among fans and in the media about how Cowboys owner Jerry Jones should consider giving up his job as general manager. With that in mind, Jones was asked how he would evaluate his job as general manager on his bi-weekly radio show. ... Jones believes adding a general manager to the Cowboys' front-office structure would, in his words, "deter from the mix" because it adds another layer. "I'd call on the very same kinds of influence and people and the information that someone like Bill Polian does," Jones said.

Fact: The Washington Redskins have won more playoff games over the past 15 years than the Dallas Cowboys.

You dink da Colts will take Ware or Romo for there first pick or some combination of picks and players, maybe I can get something for Garret he means a lot to me, what about Ryan & Romo to da Jets for Ryan & Sanchez or Manning and Osi for Romo & Ware, how bout my scoreboard for 4 of there's? What can I do this off season to make an impact, I got it, go on a trip with Bill Polian!!!

His overinflated ego will never let him relinquish control of the team.

They are already $20 mill over the cap for next year so look for them to get worse before they get better. I see the return of the illustrious Dave Campo 5-11 era (3 straight years worth).

Nothing will change until the fans use their only voice - attendance and dollars. As long as 80,000 go to that stadium and spend $75 to park, he has no reason to change. EVERY TRUE COWBOYS FAN NEEDS TO DO WHAT I STARTED DOING LAST YEAR - DO NOT SPEND ANY OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY GOING TO ANY GAMES AND BUYING ANY COWBOYS MERCHANDISE. Once that happened, we might see a remedy for this mess. Otherwise, we will get this same old crap. He would rather do things his way and be happy being in charge of everything than win.

This is the same reasoning that is used to keep Romo as the starting QB. Disgusting.

Jerry is the only competitor with Danny-boy for the Idiot of the Year Award. I think he wins this time.

Reminds me of when Cheney was in charge of finding a VP and decided he was the best choice. Eerily similar results to be sure.

There you go...

He has to fill that stadium and parking in addition to the other revenue he has to make it work. Get into the supplemental piece of that big ol' pie and he will squirm.

It won't change him... But he will damn sure sweat.
