Now the question is natural: How different would the outcome back have been that night if Jones had been playing on two good ankles? "I don't know," he said. "It's hard to say what ifs." If Alabama could force overtime that night despite a hobbled Jones, how will the Crimson Tide do in a rematch with a healthy Jones? Second-ranked Alabama (11-1) will meet top-ranked LSU (13-0) on Monday night in the BCS Championship Game in the Superdome in New Orleans. "I actually didn't play that bad, looking back," Jones said of the regular-season loss. "I really didn't know how I played, honestly, during the game, just because all I was focused on was my ankle."

His HS coach was hired by the new HC at USM. I figure he's going MLB also. When Mullen offered Bo Wallace from juco I knew Alford and Liggins were both gone. Sucks that Channing Ward is reportedly leaning heavily Ole Mess. Mullen and Chris Wilson need to step their game up some more.

Won't bash Bama but will bash the Bama schedule a little now that the bowl results are (mostly) in. Oregon and WVU wins are looking pretty good for LSU and the B12 wins are looking good for OkSU. The PSU win by Bama, not so much.
