08:04 AM ET 01.06 | At long last, Falcons fans will get to see defensive end John Abraham at full throttle. "We've had him on a play count all season long, and now it's an opportunity for us to go and extend his snaps as we get into the postseason," Falcons coach Mike Smith said Thursday. During the season, the Falcons freely rotated in Kroy Biermann with Abraham and Ray Edwards. Abraham suffered a minor groin injury in second game of the season, but continued to play. He has a history of groin injuries, and with the low snap count he started 15 of 16 games. Without a play-count limitation, the Falcons plan to unleash Abraham, who leads the team with 9.5 sacks, for the entire game.

Release the hounds!

January 6, 2012  02:04 PM ET

So that means his constant pass rush will create HUGE running lanes for Bradshaw and Jacobs...Abraham is one of those Freeney types who rushes up field with no regard for holding his edge...this good news for GMEN fans! YEES!

When he wants to play, he plays as if he's the whole defensive line!!! But keeping in shape because of lack of practice has been an issue of his he has the same disease as Osi & Tuck, assatouris!!!

Unleash the hounds! Pierre-Paul, Ume and of course Tuck!!

Abraham will not be much of an issue. The Giants O-line go up against the like of JPP, Osi & Tuck routinely at practice.
