D-Will and Howard in Dallas?

08:09 AM ET 01.06 | One scenario involving Deron Williams and Dwight Howard could sink two teams. If the Magic elect not to trade Howard -- thus showing their fan base that they did everything in their power to keep him and he still wouldn't stay -- or trade him somewhere besides New Jersey, the Nets would be sunk. Having given up Derrick Favors, two first-round picks and Devin Harris for Williams, the Nets would be devastated if Williams passed up the money for a chance to return home to Dallas ... Throw into the mix that with a couple of moves -- amnestying Brendan Haywood and buying out Lamar Odom -- the Mavs would have room for both Williams and Howard, and this cruel game of musical chairs could bring two franchises to their knees.

LOL....I dont see them BOTH coming but if i had my choice i would grab howard and they go after Felton who is a free agent and would be cheaper than Williams...

They are gonna have both Howard and Williams to Lakers thread soon

Dallas is long overdue to bring in more than just spare parts.

just gettting Howard in Dallas would be big for them. Keep Odom, get Howard!

January 6, 2012  08:45 AM ET

Wishful thinking.

Keep Odom? Apparently you haven't watched him play this year...If this is what they are getting they can send him on down the road...

Not if they have the money to spend, which has been their problem for years.

It can change at any time.

Maybe....Im tired of seeing him pout and giving half **** effort...Maybe if he acted like he carried a little more than the Lakers wouldnt have gotten rid of him for nothing....

January 6, 2012  09:12 AM ET

if that combination happened they would instantly be back in the finals..... LOL! over-exaggerating but you get my point...

So Dwight and Deron are both going to become free agents, turn down less money, and go play for the Mavs? RIIIIGHT. Ken Berger is a hack. If Deron & Dwight are free agents only the Nets offer #1 media market and max salaries (5 years for Deron, 4 for Dwight if he isn't traded there).

I swear the next time the hawks play they better put IVAN "THE TERRIBLE" JOHNSON in at sixth man!!

Disagree! The NBA would rescind the free agent acquisitions due to basketball reasons! LOL!

All teams have the money...... comes down to willingness to spend it.

No it comes down to how much luxury tax hit to take. Cuban has taken a lot of hits but mostly for spare parts. He'll certainly be very willing to spend big for those 2 names.
