Would Williams join Howard in Orlando?

10:41 AM ET 01.08 | Deron Williams might be leaning to joining Dallas, and play in his hometown ??? with or without Dwight Howard at his side. Maybe, though, the only thing stopping Williams from forcing his way to Orlando via a trade is Howard. If Howard finds that the Magic won't gamble on Lopez and accepts the fact he won't be the clear-cut star in either Dallas or L.A..why doesn't he say, "Deron, come on down to O-Town?!" The tables could turn dramatically. The Magic could try to deal, say, Jameer Nelson, Ryan Anderson and J.J. Redick for Williams. Anderson and Redick have increased their value.

QUOTE(#7):

Rather the nets do this than lose D Will for nothing.D Will,J Rich,Turk,Big Baby and Howard.D Will is a true all star point guard with pass first mentality. He will average a double double every game dishing to Howard,Turk and J Rich etc.The magic bench will lose some production when you take into account what Ryan Anderson does for this team as well as Reddick improving on D and setting charges. But the magic have depth so they would be winners in this trade. As for NJ, Nelson needs a new scene, cause he is overstayed his welcome in Orlando.Anderson and Reddick would have key roles with the nets.Nelson,Morrow,Shawne Williams,Humphries and Lopez(when he returns)Not a bad starting 5 for the nets, but Nelson will have to average 7+ assists each game.

i don't see this happening, but that's a pretty solid assessment. I agree completely about nelson perhaps overstaying his welcome. I don't think the nets will trade dwill, and will try and convince him to stay. This may be a mistake as signs have been pointing for him to land in DAL this offseason.

Howard and Williams wouldn't exactly be a huge improvement.

They would be in LA.
