11:16 AM ET 01.08 | Don't be shocked if the Indians sign a left-handed hitting first baseman such as Carlos Pena or Casey Kotchman. Or even if they trade for a lefty who plays first.

carlos pena would be too much of a money, if i was the indians i would try to sign kotchman to at least two years deal 5 millions deal??

January 8, 2012  11:32 AM ET

carlos pena has the power bat plus he its good in driving as many runs every season, but his tag usually its about ten millions per season!!!

if the indians do sign pena then the team would be given a step back, why would they sign a hitter like pena? lets not forget that pena cost more money than kotchman!!!

January 8, 2012  11:36 AM ET

Okay...I promise I won't be shocked. Happy now?

January 8, 2012  12:03 PM ET

Tell them there is no such thing. Bats are universal, jeesh!

QUOTE(#7):

listen im from cleveland and we need so much and if the indians can get pena for a one year deal about 10-12mil and then he gives us at least 30-100 and he walks and he is better defensive first baseman than what we have heck i think my dead gma could play first base

Pena would be an outstanding addition!!!

I really don't see a need for Pena due to his high strike outs but I would think Kotchman would be an upgrade. He hits for contact more than power and I would rather have this than a platoon of both Duncan and LaPorta.

Why not Branyan? He'd be cheap, nice homecoming?

Duncan doesn't Strike Out?

Oh yeah he does, my point is I would rather have Kotchman than Pena and the LaPorta/Duncan platoon.

I think theres a guy by the name of Prince that's available? I thought he was a guitar player!

Sounds like they need Cerano to"wake up bats"!!!

HA! Two jokes in one sentence.

Prince is only available to those teams who's owner is willing to spend on proven talent. Larry D probably still has his first communion money!

Rumor has it that the Indians and Giants are talking about taking Aubrey Huff off the Giants hands with SF paying $9m of his salary for 2012.

They should call the Giants. They are loaded with first baseman.
