Disconnect between Saunders and winless Wizards

08:08 AM ET 01.09 | The Wizards, in being torn up by the Timberwolves, were left, in the words of Andray Blatche, "speechless," after falling to 0-8. [Despite] the lack of legitimate scorers, the Wizards still always broke plays against the Timberwolves in a game that revealed the disconnect between the message that [Flip Saunders] conveys and the one that is executed on the floor. Saunders told the players before the game that teams are prepared to shrink the court and coerce them into going one-on-one and they easily fell into the trap. Nick Young continued to shoot as if he gets extra credit for degree of difficulty. Blatche stepped out and attempted the same "lazy jumpers" that he vowed to stop shooting after a players-only meeting last week.

not gonna change anything even if they get a new coach

It starts with defense. The Wizs have the shot blocker in McGee so thye have no excuses. On paper this team should be better than the Bobcats and maybe the Hornets but they have to play some defense. Wall needs to attack the basket.

QUOTE(#10):

They have no player in their prime, wall is raw and not a leader, mcgee is ok, but not a difference maker or a fearsome d,fensive presence, blatche is cousins twin brother, young is a gunner, their coach is useless.this team is not good.....And the league as a whole seems improved this yearThey might break the loss record

They have the size to play Mike Fratello ball and play in slow motion. Defense and forcing things inside will be the only way this team wins 15 games.

Flip Saunders is not a good coach to say the least. In fact, some (me in particular) would even say that he's terrible.

I totally agree. When he coached the Pistons he only won cause of the talent and more so the chemistry that the team had already. Poor in decision making and horrible at in game changes.
