08:02 AM ET 01.09 | Tampa Bay may be entering a new phase in its search for a head coach. Though the team is also considering candidates who have never been NFL head coaches, it appears it may be leaning toward seasoned veterans of the craft such as Wade Phillips, Marty Schottenheimer and Brad Childress. Phillips, the Houston Texans defensive coordinator, has been given permission to speak to the Bucs about the post and the team has expressed an interest in speaking to Schottenheimer and Childress. "We'll talk and see how much interest (Tampa Bay) has in me," Phillips, 64, said. "I'm torn. I don't want to leave Houston. I love it here. But I'd like to get a chance to be a head coach again."
