Mason on the Jets: 'They were a mess'

08:07 AM ET 01.10 | Not long after insisting he was a Gang Green scapegoat, Derrick Mason has a few things to say about his former employers. New York signed the 37-year-old wideout in August, believing he'd be a solid complement to Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress. But Mason struggled to produce and quickly was unloaded to the Texans after reports surfaced of griping about offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer's play-calling. ... Mason believes the Jets' continued dysfunction after he was traded is evidence that he was used as a scapegoat. "They were a mess," Mason said. "It was a cluster you-know-what. You don't see stuff like this, it's not the norm. Before I left, you could see it materializing. Things heated up."

McElroy is still with the team. I bet he's still partying. Roll tide!

Rex got exactly the kind of team he wanted. Talented, free spirited, individualistic and arrogant. All characteristics that apply to him. It almost worked twice. Now he must live with the collateral damage that comes from what he has put together.

We all started saying this last year. Too many big egos. Too many untamed tongues, all babbling at once.

The only surprise is that this team didn't self-destruct last year. Was Plax the cancer that finally put them over the top?

After McElroy sobers up from last night, he and Mason should hook up and spill the beans.

So, what this story is basically saying is....

The Jets Suck!

You haven't watch much of the Miami Dolphins lately have you? lol

The sad thing is the thing that is holding back the Jets is Brian Schottiheimer, his offense is a joke and he'll never take the training wheels off Sanchez. If you don't believe me look at Drew Brees before he (Brain Schot) left for NY and after. Major difference.

I think the Bills are the only NFL team to not have been in any play off game since 1999.

As a Buffalo native I beg to differ...

(Bills)

Bengals lead the pack without a playoff victory in 21 season followed by the Lions at 20 yrs. Before the end of last season and this season many would agree the Lions were very poorly run.
