08:33 AM ET 01.11 | Kevin Dineen remains hopeful that his goaltending situation will see brighter days. The Panthers confirmed Tuesday that rookie goalie Jacob Markstrom will undergo minor knee surgery Wednesday. The timetable for his return is unknown, but coach Kevin Dineen said Markstrom will play again this season. "That's a good-case scenario," Dineen said. ... [There] was better news regarding Jose Theodore. The goaltender skated on the ice before Tuesday's practice for the first time since going down with a knee injury. Although Theodore is still in the early stages of the recovery process, Dineen did not rule out the possibility of having him available for Friday's contest, adding that Theodore will skate again Wednesday and Thursday.

Don't jinx it, since he has gone away the second time, I think there has only been one of those.

The fact that a penalty shot was even awarded was a joke...it's getting pretty painful to watch the zebras "officiate".

Why did he get a penalty shot anyway? I couldn't see what the Jets guy did to award a penalty shot on the play. Could it be a case of bad officiating balancing out? Bruins get the wrong end of poor calls against Vancouver in one game but make out ok against the Jets?
