08:14 AM ET 01.13 | As the NBA season rolls on, and, perhaps, injuries mount and depth is tested, there may be a place for a versatile 6-foot-11 forward such as Rasheed Wallace. [Wallace] is contemplating a comeback to the NBA, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Wallace, who retired after 15 seasons in 2010, has been working out and probing some close league friends about possible destinations to sign for the rest of the season, sources said. ... One league source who has talked with Wallace recently describes him as "serious" about a return to the NBA this season. Nevertheless, no teams contacted by Yahoo! Sports reported that they had any contact with Wallace, or his representative.

This is exactly why i say we won't be seeing baron play this year. Raheed is just getting better from the same back injury 2 and a half years later

I bet Sheed can still hit the 3 and grab a few rebounds.

Rasheed could help someone. As long as his back and his mind are in the right place.

I don't understand why guys leave the game and then realize after they make the move that they want to continue. Being at home when you really don't know how to do anything else but play basketball will drive you crazy. Yeah, you have your wife and kids, but really, that get old when in your mind you want to play basketball and can still perform. I use to read that same crap when Jordan, Chamberlain left the game, Jordan came back and Chamberlain thought seriously of coming back.
After a while banging the wife in all the different positions, you need a different experience, so if there's some team willing to give you a chance, then return; I kind of miss the antics Rasheed brought to the game; also, bring back Iverson when you return.

the last time i saw his ass he was getting as many rebounds per game as the number of 3s he was taking. nobody will sign him unless their team has a plane crash or horrific bus accident.

No one will touch him. How much help can you seriously expect from him? How much harm to team chemistry do you risk with him? Do the math and you get a negative number, even at league minimum $$.

Obviously they don't have the realization until they sit around doing little more than watching games on TV. As the career ends, leaving the stress and physical demands seem too much and a rest seems heavenly. Once out reality sets in.
