Does anyone want to coach the Bucs?

08:02 AM ET 01.16 | Wade Phillips and Jeff Fisher declined before things even heated up. [We] have learned the Bucs job, despite a talented young quarterback and a promising defensive line, might not sound quite as attractive as some might have you believe. Just asking here, but could it be that some coaches don't see the stability or the track record of spending that helps make winning possible? Why else? Shouldn't the Bucs be asking these same questions? Why wouldn't the best candidates be willing to mud wrestle each other for the Bucs job? If not money, if not organization, what is lacking? Here's a question, too? Is there a candidate on the interview list who is going to tempt you into buying tickets?

Glazers need to hire a hard-**** to get these quitting fools straightened up.

If you have to ask the question in the first place, there's your answer.

Tampa Bay the new Oakland?

January 16, 2012  08:53 AM ET

Nice how the Interns worked fisher into the story for like the 6th day in a row. He must be dating one of their mothers...

You are right on the money, they also have to stop dabbling, and give the new coach 3-5 Years!!

January 16, 2012  09:04 AM ET

Billick would take the job in a heart beat.

January 16, 2012  09:10 AM ET

What are they offering, minimum wage and a retirement condo?

So would Denny Green...

And the Bucs would still suck.

I'll coach 'em up!!!

The short leash may be the reason why no one wants the job.

They probably had the best coach, in who they just released.

Always easier to fire the coach than the players.

They got rid of the spam by hiring the spammers to run the web site, didn't they? Well, their web management is about on the same level as their English.

THIS SITE RUNS LIKE CRAP! Between the blank pages and the spinny thing, I'm ready to give up.

This site sucks pond water...

So, I'm guessing the Schottenheimer interview didn't go so well, either...

The most encouraging thing I read was "Wade Phillips declined". I hope Wade takes that attitude with any other HC openings he might be approached with.

It's getting harder to just navigate between the threads, they really need to call the headquarters in Bangladesh and get this site on line...

It all comes down to selling tickets and none of the Florida teams seem to be very good at that, is it the teams or the management of those teams. I said long ago when Tebow was allowed to start, bring him along and give him some experience and then trade him to Miami, a team with terrible ticket sales. Tebows success makes him even a more valuable commodity to both Denver and Miami, or in this case Tampa Bay.
