08:03 AM ET 01.16 | In Tebow the Broncos trust ... maybe. It is with virtual certainty that Tebow will be the Broncos' starting quarterback in 2012. Why would he not? There's a good chance the Broncos' three-headed decision team of John Elway, John Fox and Brian Xanders will throw their unequivocal support behind Tebow today during a noon news conference. The team's plan is expected to include going forward with Tebow as their starting quarterback at least for the start of their 2012 training camp. With Tebow, the carnival will never completely disappear. But the Broncos' hierarchy can muffle much of the noise that reverberates around its quarterback by stating its commitment to him. Tebow has earned its trust.

Why not?

Tebow has earned its trust.

Yes he has.

Now - commit to working with the kid on his skills and build an offense that takes advantage of them.

Oh - by the way - that defense isn't as good as you thought it was, either...

Give Brady and Gronk the credit for that exposure.

There is no question he should start, he earned it, the job is his to lose.

Trouble is, he loses and regains his job on a weekly basis

Good for him. Now they have to transform the team through the draft. Wonder how the recievers feel about this. Oh that's right... It doesn't matter what they think. This is Tim's team and everything revolves around him.

Couldn't you say the same thing with just about every team in the NFL? The QB is the center of the universe- the receivers don't make the QB (but they can ruin him, just ask Rodgers), but the QB can make the receiver...

If the Team believes in him, then the have to change, the plan, he had an outstanding Year!

I'm not a Tebow basher, but it's pretty obvious that he is competitive against the weaker and injured teams and gets blown out by the good ones. I hope he improves with a full off-season under his belt.

John Elway would've been a goner behind the performance of the Broncos O-Line the other day.

Tebow is such a fan favorite in Denver it would be PR suicide to not commit to him for next season.
However, it's for next season, and if he doesn't show improvement in his passing skills and completion percentage then he will probably be eased out unless they win in the playoffs again next year.
Sooner or later he has to start passing like an NFL QB or he has to be replaced if the Broncos are ever going to be contenders.

Obviously, you guys are fans of any team the Broncos will play next year.

January 16, 2012  09:22 AM ET

How has he earned their trust? He has yet to win a game on his own with his ability to play QB, instead he relies on monumental failures by the other team to repeatedly give him chances to luck out. The three times this year he played good teams that do not implode he has been embarrassed and exposed as a terrible QB. Tebow should look to move to RB, TE, possibly even WR, but he should give up the joke that is him playing QB.

January 16, 2012  09:25 AM ET

The Broncos just sealed a losing record for 2012. Tebow should send the Raiders and the rest of the AFC West "thank you" cards for making him marginally relevant this year!

Like they have some choice?
