08:13 AM ET 01.16 | The Heat have had success without Dwyane Wade, and now it's a matter of how long he'll be missed. Wade's latest injury is a sprained right ankle, suffered Friday at Denver. ... Heat players know they can win without Wade, who was banged up even before Friday with a left foot contusion and calf strain. And they need him to be healthy for when the games really count. "He probably needed to sit down and rest in the first place," forward Chris Bosh said Sunday following practice. "Sometimes an injury will do that to you. But it's a blessing in disguise. We need him to be healthy when it's time to make a run in the playoffs. That's the most important thing."

Yes... the Heat need D-Wade to be healthy for their playoff run.

He is the leader of this team - no matter how much the crickets and leering press want Lebron to be instead.

Agreed Otis. In this crazy season, the teams that make the run at the end with be the healthy ones. This schedule is going to wreck some teams.

This season is going to be a war of attrition. The best teams that are healthy at the end will be the victors. This schedule is going to ruin some contenders.

LOL! WOW!! If you think that's a blessing in disguise then your franchise is not in the right direction...

January 16, 2012  11:31 AM ET

Blessing? 3 injuries in 9gms, he already missed 3. He's 30, has an injury history and is playing in this crazy schedule, good luck. Without Wade, MIA is little different then the Cavs teams with LBJ that won 60+, we know how that ends

QUOTE(#6):

Bosh is the only one that tells it like it is. He does not care if he is criticizing one of the big 3 or not. This guy is always on point w/ his comments. He called out Lechoke last week by telling a magazine that DWade should be the one taking the last shot. He said to put your ego aside and do what's best for the team...

Anyways, he is right on cue w/ his comment again. The supporting cast has shown that they can play for a while w/out 2 of the big 3. It helps other to step up.

Agreed... Across the board.

Why does it matter? If the Heat win the championship I think everyone gets a ring. If players on the heat are worried about what you and others say then they will never win. Somehow I don't think they do.

No. He just wants to be overpaid & scream at the crowd when he dunks a ball. Check and check.
