08:07 AM ET 01.20 | When pressed, Woody Johnson wouldn't quite answer directly whether Mark Sanchez would enter the 2012 season as both the starter and the Jets' franchise quarterback. Asked again if Sanchez is the 2012 starter with 100 percent certainty, he said there "is no such thing as 100 percent" in this business. Barring injury? "Barring whatever," Johnson said, "yes." Later, he added: "We think he's our guy." But would the Jets pursue Indianapolis Colts star Peyton Manning, if he is available this offseason and healthy? Johnson said the Jets would "look at everything." "I'm not going to ever tell you guys what we may or may not do," he said. "Our job and my job is to, for the fans, take this team to the very top level."

Coaches on the hot seat get the same "vote of confidence" from owners, too...

That posted on the first try. Spinny Thing must be out getting its morning cup 'o coffee.

Sanchez is not the answer. If the Jests want to pick up Peyton Manning and his huge salary, it will be because they want to buy a championship, like the Eagles. How did that work out?

January 20, 2012  08:15 AM ET

Thank you "Woody'.

January 20, 2012  08:19 AM ET

And so will a bunch of other Owners.......I think Peyton should join the Giants that would be interesting.

Rob Lowe says no

January 20, 2012  08:22 AM ET

After Ladainian Tomlinson's recent comments about the Jets locker room, Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum, I think Woody Johnson can narrow his chances of Peyton Manning even thinking about joining the Jets to slim and none.

Is he for Real?

January 20, 2012  08:26 AM ET

Tebow got a stronger vote of confidence from the Broncos. wow. I also love how T&R started using a picture of Sanchez in a suit instead of a game photo as soon as the Jets season was over.

January 20, 2012  08:28 AM ET

If I was Sanchez I'd pay a year's salary for T&R to destroy that photo.

January 20, 2012  08:29 AM ET

Woody should think about a change in coaches first.

T&R has always used that pic for Sanchez.

And maybe the GM, too. Too often, it seems like the GMs get a free pass when a team implodes. All the pieces are in place because they make it so.

It's not just the spinny thing... anyone else having problems getting these pages to load at all lately?

Now here's part of an article from todays New York Daily News.....

Asked whether the Jets would pursue Manning if the future Hall of Famer is available on the open market and healthy from his recent neck surgeries, Johnson said:

???I???m not going to ever tell you guys what we may or may not do. My job is to ???for the fans ???take this team to the very top level. I???ve said that from the beginning. I have a lot of confidence that we can do it. So we???re going to look at everything. We???re going to look at every possibility.???

???With Mark, you have a 25-year-old quarterback that you can develop,??? Johnson later added. ???You can have a quarterback for 10 years with a guy like this. These guys ??? they???re not available every day. We have a lot of confidence in Mark. We think he???s our guy. We???re blessed that we have a guy that we feel can ??? get a lot better. He can do everything. He???s got the work ethic. He???s got all the ingredients in place to be a great quarterback.???

Oh yeah... it's an issues with the FN servers. Sometimes it takes a few tries...

January 20, 2012  08:43 AM ET

It is kind of spotty. Seems better so far today.

Well at least everything is working well today.

Oh and don't let me forget... Jets suck as do their players, coaches, executives, front office, and especially their fans.
