A most obvious choice to replace Venables

08:21 AM ET 01.20 | Familiarity may breed even more familiarity at Oklahoma. With the news that Brent Venables is off to Clemson, Oklahoma will now embark on a search for his replacement. It will likely be a linebackers coach, but there's always the chance Bob Stoops could shuffle staff assignments to bring in someone for another position or area. ... [One candidate]: Tim Kish ... Why it's a fit: Couldn't be a better one for Mike Stoops, who worked with Kish at Arizona. He'll know the defensive philosophies and theories better than anyone else would. Has recruiting ties to the Southwest and particularly California, a recent go-to for OU. He's from Ohio, so he's also got that connection with the Stoopses. Why it's not: Because it's too obvious?

How many of you want to work with family members? Not many of mine I would even consider working with.

Isn't it obvious who will get the job?
And they said investigative journalism is dead.

Tim Kish is from my hometown of Westerville. I think he graduated with my late cousin's class of '72. We're all pulling for TK to do well.

Good on ya, oh great gemsbok bagger.

Oklahoma is a joke. They will be ranked in the top 5 preseason but they allways fall apart every season. Probably because of the coaching, they have good players but not good leadership.
