09:21 AM ET 01.21 | Despite the daily chatter about Dwight Howard's trade demand, the Orlando Magic are seriously exploring the option now of calling his bluff, believing he can't walk away from the extra $28-$30 million in guaranteed money they can pay him - and no one else can - in his next contract. Friday night's victory over the Los Angeles Lakers and center Andrew Bynum just added fuel to the belief that Howard's trade demand - to the Lakers, Nets or Mavericks - will fall on deaf ears.

Cuban would never treat you this way, Dwight.

Howard wants to win. He can take the money, but if Orlando doesn't surround him with some pieces, it won't matter; he'll still walk.

Nobody is...that's the problem. Unless they get a great Bynum/Gasol package then i would hold onto him, try to make a few more trades to improve the team and hope for the best

i hate the miami heat, but they are going to win this year, Magic has no chance.

Can't argue the durability.
However, if Bynum was moved to a different team, his stats would be very different. Kobe has close to a 40% usage rate. If Dwight was on the Lakers, his offensive numbers could resemble Bynum's...if not worse.

If Magic wants to win, they need to somehow upgrade Nelson to Deron Williams
