09:07 AM ET 01.21 | UGA will take its best shot at one of Auburn's best football recruits this weekend. Sandy Creek High School's JaQuay Williams, who is ranked as Georgia's No. 1 prospect at WR by some, is scheduled to make an official visit to Georgia this weekend. Williams is part of a small group which includes another Auburn commitment, WR Ricardo Louis of Miami Beach, and two players pledged to the Bulldogs -- OL John Theus of Jacksonville and Dodge County DE Leonard Floyd. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Williams has been committed to Auburn since last summer.

I'm familiar enough with recruiting wars in the B1G, but what gives with Auburn? Are they suddenly no longer the shiney penny in the SEC? Has Coach Chizik lost his mojo? Enlighten me, someone, please.

They spent all their money on Cam.

LOL. I didn't say or think that...but I wish I had. BTW, has the NCAA finally cleared Auburn in the $Cam affair?

Have no idea. As slow as the NCAA moves, I doubt it. How about it SEC homers, what say?

Aubie was already in rebuilding mode, then Malzahn left, followed by Dyer and Trotter. OC, QB and RB situation are unsettled. Does that have anything to do with it? Who knows?

Harley, you talk as if Aubie was always a national power, they have not been.. They are just back in their rightful place, below Bama, but still an SEC team too. Nothing else.

Yeah ... their rightful place on the NCAA's all time repeat offenders list.
