09:58 AM ET 01.21 | Imagine you're a computer programmer, and it turns out Bill Gates is your boss ... Or you're starting out as a financial planner, and Warren Buffett takes you under his wing ... That essentially describes Gerald Henderson's good fortune as a Charlotte Bobcat. The guy who owns the team happens to be the best basketball player ever. More specifically, he was an NBA shooting guard, just like Henderson. So there's a download of information going on that Henderson considers a windfall. Bobcats owner Michael Jordan recently gave Henderson a video that Jordan helped edit. For lack of a better description, it was the good and bad of Henderson's first dozen games this season: Plays that succeeded, others that didn't.

Jordan better do somwthing. His team sucks. They've drafted poorly. Every trade they've done is one sided. They get nothing in return but bad players with bad contracts that end in two to three years. And no good free agent wants to go there because the team stinks.

Gerald Henderson is a piece of s-h-!-t. I will never forget how he intentionally landed that vicious elbow to Tyler Hansbrough. That's okay though, he'll have a terrible pro career anyway. Just like 99% of all former dook players.

Just sell the Bobcats. I feel sorry for this team. at least the Cavs and the wolves are moving forward.

Hmmm ... Byron Mullins . 17pts , 8 rebounds starting center, bottom of the 1st round. Bizmack Biyombo 11pts ,10 rebounds 4blocks against Magic. Kemba Walker averaging 15pts. 4.5 assist, steals u blind and is getting better each week. Yeah Just terrible picks in the draft. U know what , I would cut those guys if I was Cho that new GM , right away.... heh.

On-Court success doesn't mean squat as a "mentor" or an owner. MJ has proven that before.

Could Bill Gates Run a Mom and Pop Computer Store? He may be a visionary, but he doesn't write code for Windows.

Could Warren Buffet have the same success running a small investment firm? He's not the one doing the endless hours of research that is needed to make the correct decisions. He stressed how important research is when it comes to investing. Early in his career he had a saying that was to the effect of that you should do 1 hour of research for every $1,000 you invest. How many hours of research did he personally do when he invested $10.7BILLION in IBM Stock?

The Point is, to be successful on the court, in the business world or in the ownership box, you need to surround yourself with capable people AND let them surround themselves with capable people...and get out of the way and let them do what you hired them for. If they can't, find someone who can. If they can't, then maybe it's the decision maker on top that the reason for lack of success.

Since when do you need a mentor to be a better basketball player? If you put the WORK/TIME in eventually things will come together, providing you stay healthy. On a side note, I wonder if Mike would draft any of his sons? Now that's worth a laugh!!

while i loved to see jordan play and agree that he is one of the best, but that doesnt mean he is the best teacher. at least, i didnt see anything that he proved to be after the retirement.
