10:39 AM ET 01.21 | When the Washington Capitals fired Bruce Boudreau two months ago, they weren't the only ones who needed a fresh start. In Southern California, Boudreau has found an opportunity to take what he learned from his first stint as an NHL coach and apply it. He was able to return to trusting his own instincts, which the 57-year-old acknowledged he questioned toward the end of his tenure with the Capitals.

who doesn't make mistakes? I've never met a coach that's left one job and gone to another that hasn't reflected on the previous one to try to improve themselves. Complete non story.
